Wow how long has it been that way? I made a few orders from there several years ago but the shipping was getting out of hand so I stopped. I will have to go shopping now!!! ;)

Pumpkinpatchquilter, I love your avatar. Did you make the quilt you are currently using? Is it your own design or is there a pattern that you would love to share the name. I just really like it.

Aww, thanks!! I did design it and I'm in the process of making it actually! I have all of it pieced except the geese borders, which are currently sitting on my sewing table collecting dust. Lol* I am just about 7 months pregnant and so my energy is waning! Lol* I will muster up a little steam and get it finished one of these days. ;)Originally Posted by jdiane318

Ditto...but since I am a beginner, I have found out you need to order enough yardage the 1st time around on clearance or sale items.Originally Posted by sueisallaboutquilts
I love fabric.com. It's so easy to spend 35 bucks!!!
When you get the fabric, fall in love with it, want to order more...it's all gone
So to ask a simple question...how much yardage should I buy in the first place to start my stash...or even to begin a simple quilt patterns of 4-5 colors? I want my 1st quilt to be the size of a lap quilt.
Thanks. Just a note...I still LOVE fabric.com but must stay away from it for awhile. They have really nice fabric!
