I went to a yard sale this morning and what was setting there in its case? A Singer Featherweight. How much I say, $75.00 she says. I'll take it. Why are you selling it so cheap? I just want to get rid of it.

Why is that considered cheap for a yard sale? What do they normally sell for...like on ebay?

    Sorry, I'm ignorant.

Did you take it and run before she changed her mind? What a great deal. Have fun with your new sewing buddy.

$75! You got a great deal. Even if you have to have a new motor it's a great deal. FW are the easiest machines to repair and never lose their value. Plus the are so darn cute and sew a perfect stitch. No one but a sewer understands the feeling of owning a FW.
