I'm partial to the one on the left.

It will be beautiful. Love doesn't require perfect seams ;-).

I like the one on the Left.. it has an expansive quality. The one on the Right is "under control'lol

I like the one on the left. It's clean and makes the pattern really stand out. Nice job on sketching out both ideas out.

I really like the one on the left (left as I look at it in the picture). I like it because it is a little less fussy than the fancy upper and lower border on the one on the right.

I like both and a small thin border would finish off both of them.
I would suggest you cut your pieces a bit bigger and trim down to the required size. Lots od help here and on the internet.Utube has lots of help too.

Welcome from Missouri.

I like the one on the left, but I'm not one who really likes borders on quilts.

I prefer the one on the left, open, airy, less constricted. I wonder what you consider "pretty new", since you are already designing your own quilt tops. I daydream more about quilting than I do actual work. Admirable work you are doing!

I have a tip. I can't quite tell, but it looks like you're planning on piecing it as triangles and not diamonds? I would highly recommend that - the triangles, I mean. And starch is your friend when you're working with bias edges - just starch before you cut the fabric, not after.
