I use "505 Adhesive Spray" ALL the time and have never had a problem with odor.....In fact, I used it yesterday to back some stitchery. I just went and smelled it.....NO ODOR!

I have used others, but almost all of the professionals that I have either seen or read about, recommend the "505". It sure has worked well for me......I think you can get it at Joann's....not sure. All the LQS's here carry it. I'm in the Sacramento, CA area.....

I have used Sullivans and 505. Sullivans has a stronger odor but washes out well.

I am asthmatic. So, I wasn't sure I could even use a spray adhesive. My Monday evening quilting group was meeting at the church and I used another room to try the 505 spray, fully expecting a problem. Guess what? No breathing difficulties for me or a friend who is on disability due to her lungs! It didn't stink afterward either. I'll still spray somewhere other than my home ... for my lungs sake.

I would like to know which one stinks. That's not good. i"m glad it disappeared with a washing. I love the look of a washed piece, but I know many don't like that crinkled look, so let them know the brand you are using. I currently have June Tailor spray. It doesn't stink, but it makes the quilt kind of stiff if you don't wash it.
