I use 505 as well. It does not smell strong or bad!
But I always wash all my quilts before they go out the door (or on the bed or couch)

I use 505, no odor. I have to buy it at a quilt shop.
JoAnns doesn't carry it.

I USE 505 ALSO AND IT CAN BE PURCHASED AT CRAFTS DIRECT OR ANY QUILT SHOP. NOT JOANN'S
NO SMELL. LOVE IT
