Good question - I would love to see anything about the show that anyone can post. Maybe some day I'll go. I live near you Holice, there must be bus trips from this area, right?

I am back from Paducah - but quite sick - so it will be a while before I am able to post pictures. I have never been to anything like this before and was OVERWHELMED. Yes, a few things had to be relocated as they were on the other side of the flood wall that they had to put up. Traffic was horrible around the events - but those that were in busses were let out at the door and picked up at the door. Never saw so many busses sitting in parking lots, etc, in my entire life! The whole city is quilt crazy! Great for their businesses. We ate out at every meal and saw quilters everywhere that we went. One restaurant was waiting on a bus of over 40+ quilters for supper last night! Talked to one woman from Canada that came on a bus with 48 women! Those that paid for a "pass" wore it on their necks and it had their state printed on it - and I probably saw every state in the country and some in other countries too! Everybody should go to at least one big quilt show just for the experience. I was so lucky that my DD who lives in Paducah was my chauffer and dropped me off at all of the events and then she found a place to park. Pictures later.

Oh yes, I got my picture taken with Eleanor Burns!

It sounds like so much fun Nikki!! I think I would probably pass out from being overwhelmed if I went. :) :) I can't wait to start seeing more pictures!!

Cheers!

Sounds awesome! I'm glad that it wasn't flooded out.

Just landed in Houston from my trip. It was so worth it! You can't beat $4.98 a yard at Hancocks and $5 yd at Eleanor Burns tent. The weather was great and lots of people.

I'm so glad to hear so many positive reports coming back from Paducah. What with the flooding and changes of venues I was really concerned that people would be upset and not enjoy themselves. I've been to Paducah before and had a great time. Glad to see others are enjoying it this year too.
