Mine is off white, but the kicker is sliding glass doors to my right, another window in front of me, with tan
tile flooring...I love it mostly because I can clearly see the fabric colors. It is wonderful summer and winter.

We just painted mine a nice calm light green. It was a dark ( way too dark) wood paneling before, but now has a nice 'fresh' feeling to it. I did cheat though, you can see the caribbean blue in the front hall from the whole sewing room. I love it now :-)

My first consideration is lighting for work. I chose a nice yellow, not pale, but not bright. Just a smidge brighter than butter. If you also want bold, paint 3 walls in a light color that is conducive to reflecting working light and a 3rd wall that does not reflect on your main work areas a brighter bolder color. I see in your room that you have your frame set up against a wall with windows - perhaps that wall will be a good one for maybe red? The windows will provide the light you need.

You can get the little samples of paint and cut up a few large pieces of foamcore board (sold at Joann's etc.). Paint your choices there and look at how they look in the room at different times of day/night/lighting.

My room is off white with oak cabinets, not much wall space. Just going in to sew makes me happy. Just make sure you can live with the color you pick.

Your lucky to be able to redo your room! My sewing room has yucky green 70's wallpaper and my room with my longarm is off white walls. I do know I would not want to paint the room where my long arm is as the bright walls sure helps with the natural light in matching threads and when I am in my others rooms which are tans, green, and rusts it makes it harder to match thread at times. If I ever do get the chance to redo my rooms but that means stripping layers at least 10 I can see of wallpaper I would paint is a silver grey with lavender undertones and use an overlayer like an shiny iridescence clearcoat. My parents used this in many rooms in their house on the bottom half under the wall paper and the way the light reflects is so pretty.

I love lilac color and always wanted a room with that color, so I just painted it a light lilac and wow did it brighten up y sewing room, it was egg shell before as well and I hated it, there was just no personality and I know the color is hard to match things with, but thats what I wanted and I love it~ SO go with what you want
