For me there is 'pretty' paisley and 'ugly' paisley :). If it's bright, colorful and fun, then I'm all over it! Otherwise, it looks a little old-fashioned, in my opinion.

I had inherited a lime green, bright blue and turquoise BIG print paisley. About 2 yards of it. Had not decided how to use it yet. This one was definately IN YOUR FACE.

Anyway, it became one of the blankets we made for Alabama. I love the piece but had no immediate plans for it. So someone else will be enjoying my pretty!

I love paisley! The design lends a complexity of texture to quilts. The lighter pastels remind me of the 1960s.

Paisley reminds me of my father's dressing gowns. He was British and always had one or two that he wore with his leather slippers and smoked his pipe before retiring for the evening.

I love it. Lots of color (usually) to pull from.

It reminds me of the 70s and I don't mind it.
