Panel for girl 5
Hi,
I am looking for a printed panel to make a lap quilt for my 5 year old grand daughter. Anyone know where I can find one. I have seen them at quilt shows but won't be going to one soon. Thanks

I made a quilt for my granddaughter from one of those panels you buy and make a book out of. I cut the 'pages' apart and sewed blocks of 9 patches between them. It was the Cinderrella book, and she loved it!

I made two lap quilts last Christmas one for each grandchild. At that time she was into horses, so found a panel on ebay, and then did borders in other 'horsey' fabric, my color pallet was brown and pink turned out very cute. For grandson who was into toy story and Woody, ended up finding a pillowcase that had a large Woody, used that for the center and the matching sheet for the backing......To sum up I found everything I needed on ebay.....I think the key for a child is to do it in something they 'REALLY' are into, be it Disney Princess, Horses, Jewlery....etc.

I made a couple of rag quilts with book panels. I made all the blocks the size of the book blocks and used a solid as a frame. I got the panels in a box I bought at an estate sale and wasn't sure what to do with them. I liked how both of them turned out.

There are cute panels from the Mary Cicely Baker fairy designs:
