    Default Paper piece size change???

I saw a paper pieced quilt I would like to make except it is 14"x17" and I would like it larger. Is it possible to enlarge it on a photo copy machine then make the connecting seams only 1/4 inch?

It's always possible to enlarge a quilt by printing the blocks and pieces larger, to 150 or 200%. But if you're asking for advice you would need to post a link to the one in question, as I don't know that all designs would play well.

I've done that many times, and done it to reduce the pattern too. Sometimes it works to add a border or additional design elements instead of enlarging the block.

I have enlarged and reduced several paper pieced patterns and it has worked just fine. I just sewed on the lines in the paper piecing pattern. Worked great. I enlarged a 12" block 300% and put it in the center of the back of a quilt. It worked just fine.

I do it all the time. You've got the right idea, just watch your 1/4" seam allowance and adjust your block trimming accordingly.
