Just returned from a terrific holiday in Vancouver Island, where the weather was fab. But it was made all the better by stumbling across 2 quilt shops, and they both had sales!! Satin Moon quilt shop in Victoria and Kismet Quilts in Port Albini were great and the staff really nice, and the work on display was wonderful.

So came back with a small stash of fabric in my suitcase and now have to get to work.

All you people who live out there are so lucky!

Aren't quilt shops the reason for vacations?

Speaking of vacations and fabrics shops-my BFF is coming to visit and we are going to Keepsake Quilting in New Hampshire. That is a 5 hour drive from where I live-we will be leaf peeping as well. Does anyone have any suggestions on sites to see or other quilt/fabric shops to visit in this general area. We will going up one day and back the next as of this time. May extend it one day.

Thanks for any and all advice.

BTW-just splurged and got a new Baby Lock - my BFF can't wait to play with it!

Keepsake quilting is the best we went up there a couple of weeks ago. I would take a ride on The Mount Washington Ship out into the lake it is always a great ride. There was a neat little quilt shop "The Frog Lady" I think it is South of Weirs beach on the main road. It is located on the right.
It sits to the back of the parking lot very friendly people.
