The directions could use a little tweaking, but it will be a pretty quilt when it is done. I once did a kaleidoscope quilt similar to this - Key West Beauty from Quilters cache at the request of my DH- he picked out the pattern, and I would never do another one unless it was paper pieced - too many bias pieces. It's good you are paper piecing it and yes, regular copy paper is fine for paper piecing - I've never had a problem with it. Can't wait to see the finished quilt.
