I'm happy with mine. Got it for Christmas. But I've not used any other machine, so I have nothing to compare it to. It seems to run well, but there is still a lot of "user error". I'm trying to teach myself how to use it.

Does your computer use Vista? If so, any problems using the PED Basic with Vista?

I use PEDbasic with Vista on my computer, to download designs to a card to put in my embroidery machine. It usually works OK, but not always. The program and Vista don't seem to be compatible. I don't have a laptop, and my computer is not near my machine, but I think you can load designs directly from your laptop to the machine. You shouldn't need the ped basic for that. You can also download designs onto a USB flash drive to insert into the PE770. I have done that without a problem.

Thanks for the info. It makes it more clear!
