Default Patten

Hello to all,

I was wondering if anyone has a dresden plate table topper pattern. I want to make one for each holiday. I am a newbie and I really don't want to pay for the pattern, in case I can't make it. I love that block and I already have the ruler for it.

Dresden Plate is a pretty easy block to find a tutorial on the net. There is a 12 inch one without the petals on the ends at Quilterscache- Quilt Blocks Galore look under the A-F section for the Dresden Plate.

Here's a clear and well-illustrated tutorial for a table runner, you can always shorten it to one plate if you'd like.

Thank you so much for the dresden plate pattern. I hope I could make it.

Scuddles, go here and watch this video. It's how I learned to do it and it is really easy.

If you get stuck, come back to the board and ask for help. There are really great quilters here that can help!

This pattern is on my to-do list. Along with a double wedding ring quilt. Thanks for the free website patterns

If you buy the template, then all your pieces are cut the same size and that basically is the pattern. I think they are easier to cut that way. And it gives you options of round or pointed ends with the template.

Jenny from Missouri Star Quilting has a Dresden plate on You Tube. In fact, I believe she has a small one and a larger Christmas one. Check it out. I've done several of them, and they are reasonable to do. Not complicated at all, and look really nice.
