Default Pattern help please

I've lost what is left of my mind. Somewhere on the internet this week I've seen a pattern that would be great to use to for left-over Project Linus scraps. Please help me find it. It goes something like this.....if I cut squares at 6" the next border sashing aount this block makes it look like the square is sitting kattywhompus. Each border sashing runs from about 2 1/2" down to 1" on each side. Of course this is then squared off and a another sashing is added between blocks. Sounds easy right?? With my concussion injury I would rather have the pattern than try to figure this out myself. Anyone out in quilting world know what I'm talking about?? Thank you everyone...I'm in a fog today.

I've always heard that called a 'tilted block' If you google it, there are lots of hits Here's one:

I checked the link & had a question. Would it be easier to just sew the strips on as sashing & then trim the block offset?

yes, this is another technique to achieve the same look, but you wind up with bias edges.
