This past November I did a blog hop with a bunch of other designers friends. we all gave patterns.

mine was a zig zag pillow.. you could use this for the front and put another fabric on the back or binding..

I found a package of 5 there once, kept going back and finally found 4 more so I would have 20 to do a turning twenty, just a suggestion :D

They are great looking. Make something to put things in look a purse, thread catcher, Pincushion, pillows and tablerunner.Have fun with them. Don't let them set in a box.

Lots of nice projects on that Terry Atkinson site to use up fat quarters - thanks!

I too have noticed some brand names at Joann's lately. I was in Hobby Lobby this week and they have Robert Kaufman, Alexander Henry, Alvyn, Fabric Traditions scattered in with their own lines. I'm guessing these are discontinued lines in both stores, but it is nice to be able to get some better quality fabrics at the big box stores.

Willow Creek has a pattern for Slice & Dice placemats that uses fat quarters. It's easy and fun.

Joan, I have to say - I love your avatar!

As to the fat quarters, why not choose a coordinating solid/marble/blender or two, and join the February doll quilt exchange? I see lots of possibilities there! Love those colors!

I wonder if you got the same one I did. Beautiful shades of rose, teal and tan and then in the middle of the bundle is a quarter with Geisha girls, I mean very very tastefully designed beautiful art work....6x6 panels-----so what do I do with them?
I will probably pass on the Geishas and go with the floral fabric and gold on tan filigree! Edie

I saw that bundle and was surprised. It was the Jessica line at blank and you can hardly find a piece even online now. I bought the bundle in case I needed a little more when I sew it up.
