Default Pattern suggestions needed

Please make you suggestions for a manly, lodge or mountain or Native American look. Help, have looked and looked, found many that look great, but no pattern names given, except for mountain mist, have that pattern, but want a little more bling. Thank you

Gathering Friends has several that you could look at. My favorite is Northwoods Crossing. If you go to the website and click on the book you can see the quilts inside. My favorite is Nestled at the Lodge. It's really beautiful.

My stepson is Native Alaskan. I made a broken dishes quilt for him with 6" HSTs, it's gorgeous and very manly. It's also really simple to do. The broken dish blocks finished at 12". The plain areas were quilted with Native American symbols. I had a bunch of FQs with a metallic look from JoAnns that I couldn't figure out what to make with them and then this quilt just took off.

I like the bear paw quilt - I have used that for a "manly" look - I can't seem to post pics but I have posted previously - maybe you can find it in the archives

The Crossed Canoes pattern is nice done in manly colours of batiks. I think the pattern Paper Chains would look good in manly colours too.

Star pattern is very popular with Native American (First Peoples') quilts. Google images "Native American quilts" and see the wonderful variety that have been made. Hopi are my favorite. Also, there are books on the subject with, again, inspiration and ideas, AND patterns. Have fun, hope you find the perfect pattern and show us pics when you're done.

If something outdoorsy appeals try some of the Granola Girl patterns
