Default Pattern/Technique search
Good morning everyone! Years ago I made a quilt using a technique that gave you a dimensional diamond in the middle of a four patch. I cannot remember where I learned this technique. I believe you use 5 squares the same size, and you catch the extra square into the seams somehow so that when it’s finished there’s a loose diamond on top. Does this ring a bell for anyone?

This was the pattern I saw today, a bow-tie with the 5th square. A 3d effect.
