Here's some of the batik quilt tops I've made. I like working with batiks, most of my quilts go to a children's charity for in-need children. The second picture has quilt tops made from the book, "Layer 'em up" by Sharyn Craig.

Purplefiend- I was just about to suggest the Anita's Arrowhead in your second picture, and love all your pics. Cool machines also. A quick and easy design that can be scrappy or controlled is Bonnie Hunter's Scrappy Trips Around the World. She has many free patterns on Quiltville.com

I am working on a quilt called 'Cathedral' by Villa Rosa. Using bright batiks and using varigated thread for a meandering quilting design. Not extremely complicated but quite pretty when it's done and it really shows off the batik colors and designs, rather than the actual quilt design. I didn't use the same colors as in the sample picture. I used 'solid' batik brights and the 'stained glass' was a variagated batik. I'm sewing it together now http://www.villarosadesigns.com/shop...-sku-rc029.htm
