Permanent pen not being permanet!

I was told in one of my early quilting classes that sometimes Pigma pens don't act right, so I've always just used a fine-tip Sharpie marker. I write on either the back or the front of my quilts and have had no problem with them fading.

I would try a Zig pen.. they are archival.. and sharpies aren't.. I have gotten them in the scrapbooking section.. but I've never tried washing them. I use them to mark seams when I'm hand piecing. They have a little heavier line than the pigmas also and are reasonably priced.
