Did you know someone is making replicas of the Featherweight 221 machines? I'm not talking fakes.... just replica machines... all metal parts, everything looks the same except for the the labels. Oh, and did I tell you they're expensive... well not computerized machine prices, but still same prices as original machines in good shape... Check it out:

I don't know why I'm surprised because featherweights have been such a hot item for quite while. I agree about the price... although featherweight prices have been climbing steadily this year... back up to where they were before the economy went south.

I'm going to be "snobby" and say that I am glad I have my real deal Featherweight. LOL Especially at that price. Thanks Mom, for the wonderful Christmas present 37 years ago that I was sentimental enough to hang onto all these years. :)

The worry will be years from now these baby's will be selling on Ebay and new quilters won't know the difference.
They should be forced to call them something other than Singer. In fact, since Singer still exists, they should be sited for Patent infringement. It hasn't been 100 years yet since they started making the FW.
