Unless your thinking of selling quilts, I use whatever colors I want to use. I personally, do not care if a color is IN or OUT. If I like it, I use it. Of course sometimes I have to dye the color I want because its no longer mass produced, but I figure its my quilt and I will make it in whatever combinations I choose.

I like them. I just made 3 baby quilts for my nieces in their early twenties. One asked for brown & pink, the other had twin girls and asked for brown & pastels and sage & pastels. They all turned out very pretty.

If you like those colors it doesn't matter if they're popular or not. I love them and think anything made out of those colors would be beautiful!

Today I went to a quilt shop in the Houston area and bought a pattern for a pink and brown quilt. They had it displayed in the shop. Beautiful. When I checked out the lady told me that it was the most popular quilt pattern they had.

I still see baby things in brown and pink. Baby clothes and baby diaper bags. So for young people who have babies it is still popular. As stated before, if you make it for someone who likes the colors, that is great!

A couple of years ago, I made a baby quilt for a friend's granddaughter. Her mother chose pink and brown, and I didn't know it was THE color combination, but I made it and it really turned out beautiful. I didn't have any trouble finding coordinates in those colors.
