I press all seams open, it reduces bulkiness in all blocks.

I think you have been given great ideas about the twirling of the seams method. I love pinwheels so hope you don't get discouraged. I have never heard of the hammer method but it makes sense and I may try it-you may get some built up frustrations out too.

I never heard of using a hammer before and I've been quilting for 40 years. I must have been living under a rock. Thanks so much for that tip. It just proves that we're never too old to learn new tricks.
