    Default Placing cams properly

Hello all, I have this dressmaker S 9000 with these removable cams. Am finding it difficult to place in the opening meant for it to work. Please I will be grateful if someone can guide me on its usage and how to set the stitch width n length to get appropriate design. I need to note that am newbie to sewing and designing . A video will be great or link to a video showing its usage.

Welcome, looks like a fun machine. I gather you got the cams with your machine, but not the manual.
I haven't done business with any of these places, but have seen them around for a while, as I search for various Vintage Sewing machine manuals.

Just wanted to say welcome from Texas. Looks like you've already got some good help here from other members. Have fun with your new machine. We would love to see pictures of what you are making.

I don't know your machine and didn't go to the links but in many (especially vintage) machines there are differences on whether the needle is raised up or down, and even whether or not the foot is up or down that make it easier/possible to change settings. Often there is a bar which can be designed as a seam in the case to show where the straight up line is, sometimes there is an additional marker of some sort on the wheel. You can turn some the dials all you want on my vintage Remington but it won't change unless the foot is down, there's a little jog in the metal bar that allows the changes to be made.

Many of my friends are surprised when I point out the little clues on machines they've been sewing on for years!
