I have an idea of a quilt I want to make DH and am looking for a good source for miniature quilt block patterns. I am looking for 3" size blocks in traditional patterns like stars, bears paw, etc. I did find this source http://www.alanandmike.com/miniblocks/ and am using the snail trail and pineapple they have. I would prefer PP for working this small. I really didn't want to have to draft my own patterns but will if necessary. Everyone here is always such a wealth of information and I was wondering if anyone here knew of a really good book or online source for miniatures.

    Thanks.

This is a section that has a lot of Rhonda's block. They are great. She has lots of ideas, pictures, and is very helpful. I love her blocks and am working on her sampler.

I also make a lot of miniatures. I paper piece many of them.
I use a device found in any art supply or quilt store. It's the Quilter's Assistant Proportional Scale.
Simply find the size of the block pattern and then the simple calculator will tell you what percentage to increase or decrease. Works everytime!
(It's the complicated "looking" little white circle thingy with all the nuumbers on it.)

    Carol Doak's book:

    http://www.amazon.com/Easy-Paper-Pie.../dp/1564772098

Also, in many of her books she includes patterns on a disk, the patterns can be printed out in any size.
