Question Please advise: Tips for making t-shirt pillow

I have been asked to make a pillow from a T-shirt. I haven't sewn with knits so this is new territory for me.

My questions are: What stabilizer have you found to work well for backing t-shirts. I don't want it to be too stiff.

Do I need to use a special needle for knits?

Your help is much appreciated. Many thanks! Ps....If you have a good t-shirt pillow tutorial, please send it my way.

There's Shape Flex and there's Shape Flex Lite, by Pelon. I prefer the Lite, but not every shop will have it.

I just finished a Tshirt flimsy and I used shape flex, I would recommend it to anyone.

Be careful of anything you may want to iron to the back of the T-shirt if it has the puffy paint motif on it. Some of those melt and get sticky with heat.
