    I copied your fabrics, cut them apart and played. If you don't mind, look at this combination-20 H 21 18 19 11 9 10 17 8 13 12 B F E A 6 5 2 1 . I love reds so I had to play a little. Forget that, I took so long playing that the problem is already fixed and I couldn't remove this post, sorry.

I would change places with 2 and 1. Then replace 21 with H.

Eileen Wright (author of the bargello book you are using) is a member of this board. Maybe if you PM'd her she would offer some advice. She is very nice. I think her user name is either eileenquilting or eileensquilting

I am very much a "red" person so I am looking forward to seeing the end results here.

Please don't delete this. I will try that order after I cut the first few strips! Thanks :)

While I have nothing to add, I wish to thank those who did and you have given me the opportunity to really like at color progression. This was like a mini learning session.

This is a great thread. Thanks for posting it. We are all getting clues on how to place fabrics for a bargello. Love it. And I'm no help with trying to select the fabric - except to me, #11 and 9 look close in shade and color.

You guys are so amazing. I'm afraid I lack the ability to evaluate colors well. I'm bookmarking this so when I try a bargello I'll know how to go about choosing. Wonderful information!
