    Hi Everyone,

Do you have any ideas for a quilt (or craft) that might make people laugh (or at least smile)?

I've been asked to make a silent auction item for a Humor to Beat the Tumor event put on by the American Brain Tumor Association, but I'm at a loss for ideas.

I've already lost 3 friends to brain tumors and 2 more are currently afflicted ... so I'd like to help raise $.

Thanks in advance for the help I know you'll give me.

    Goodness.

    That is quite a statistic!

Have you talked to your surviving friends? Sometimes they develop a black sense of humor to cope with their situations.

Maybe a quilt similar to what I made my Mom this mother's day - she is obsessed with the Smiley Face.

I recently bought 2 yards of this, but haven't done anything with it yet. She has 1 yard left. I plan to 'frame' it with half squares in corresponding colors probably in yellow and black, so the theme of the fabric is highly visible and not surrounded by a bunch of messy fabrics to detract from the kitties.

I thought this quilt was very funny and it would be very easy to make.

Some Maxine (panel) fabric sewn into quilt blocks would be cute. Or Maxine embroidery designs. Just be careful the sayings are appropriate.

I agree. This was one of the funniest, whimsical patterns I had seen.
