Ours was a few weeks ago and is held every spring and fall. It's sponsored by one of our LQS's and is held at a nearby inn that is large enough to accomodate about 100 quilters.

I think the best thing about it is that while there are demos throughout the weekend it is primarily a "bring whatever you are working on" retreat. You get exposed to so many different types of quilts and techniques. Everyone is very open to sharing and there are many skill levels at the retreat. I was able to help my neighbor with her first quilt, which was made from a large panel, and teach her about how to make and apply binding. She was so grateful and it felt so good to be able to share my skills with someone else, as many quilters did when I was learning.

Another positive in terms of logistics is that all meals are provided - you don't have to do a thing except show up to the retreat with all your quilting gear.

    Hope this helps!
