cut 1/8 inch bigger and after you sew each section up square up to the correct size. Give yourself some wiggle room :D

I use a square ruler that has a line going from one corner diagnally through the ruler to the other corner. When squaring up my blocks, I run this line along the line of my block and this ensures my points always come out where they are supposed too. Hope this helps!
