It works well and doesn't "come loose" after the quilt has been used a while.
What brand do you use? I have use a few different brands but made it so stiff, ok for pockets for purses just wouldn't want to use it in a quilt.

I soak them with starch and block them while wet like a sweater. When dry they are square and have a nice firm edge to stitch to. Everything washes out after the quilt is finished and it looks great.

Caroloto: Here is a link to the stabilizer I use most often. I like it because it's light, permanent, soft and very flexible: http://www.nancysnotions.com/product...+10+yd+roll.do

I've finally resorted to buying 2 panels of each thing because they are ALWAYs off it seems. Then, I have to 'sacrifice' every other block. In the past I've added borders, but even had to use a 1/8" seam, and that must makes me to nervous that it won't hold. I get really frustrated because the panels seem to always come in 24" widths, but there is either too much waste to do smaller blocks. They should be 26" so we can get the 1/2" around all squares ... just my 2 cents...

I agree! It would be so much easier!
