I have done cross stitch while driving to or from Ohio. For us that use to be a 10 1/2 hr drive. I have addressed our Christmas letters/cards many times on our trip back there for Christmas. I have also put the back half of my binding on during the car ride. Always have something to keep me awake for at least half the trip.

I have knit hundreds of baby hats but it gets boring. I think I'll do some hand quilting with buttons!

I bought templates from Hoopla for the Elizabeth Green quilt. I think it's in the Shelburne in VT. Froncie Quinn is licensed to sell templates of their antiques.

The fabrics are marked on the wrong side for hand sewing. I'm doing it in repro mid-1880s blues and brown with the constant center square of mustard.
I was making it for myself , a double.
My 17 yr old grandson loved it, so am now making it a queen for an eventual wedding quilt or when he turns 25 if not married. I've done 75 blocks, don't need too many more as it has sashing.

I also carry English paper piecing project for when I need a break from EG.

I also bring along redwork to hand embroider. Now that I have made enough blocks for a quilt, I'm starting on blue work!

English paper piece, GFG. Those 3/4" hexagons are keeping me busy!

Exactly! I wasn't familiar with it until I started looking for redwork patterns and encountered blue work...I thought it'd be fun to do!

My Granny did blackwork and cutwork, redwork seems to be more popular now, but the blackwork hasn't seemed to have had a comeback? Anyone do blackwork?

I can see that I need to take up English paper piecing.
