Default Prairie Points ?

When you add these for a edge on the quilt, instead of binding, do you always finish the edge by bringing the back side up over? thanks for all your help. This is my first at this edge!

I found this 4 part series on this blog all about prairie points.

There is also a little tutorial on Craftsy on prairie point binding. I'm not attaching a link because you have to be a member to see it.

I hope this helps.

There is a YouTube video on Continuous Prairie Points. Sorry I don't have the link but it is a pretty neat way to make them. They are made out of a strip and folded so you end up with a banner type of piece to sew.

I did prairie points once and that is how I finished the quilt. That was BEFORE the internet.

I also recently saw a quilt with prairie points added between inner borders. The final border extended just beyond the edge of the prairie points and the quilt was then bound normally. It, too, was an interesting look.

I LOVE the look of PP but haven't had the guts to try them. In addition to continuous prairie points which are pretty amazing, there is a FREE tut on QNNTV for rolled edge PP for those of you who have a serger. Super easy and a unique look. This method uses less fabric than the others as well. I'm anxious to try it.
