Default Prayer shawl or quilted shawal

I was recently at a retreat and saw some with a shawl (quilted) with pockets on the
ends for your hands. I heard her say it was in -"something magazine- month ?". I did
not hear what magazine or what month and I did not see her again to ask. Does
anyone know what I am talking about?

Might be this one:

which was in McCall's Quilting March/April 2011

Here's a different photo of the same shawl:

this one doesn't have pockets but it was really quick and easy to do.

not much different than making a bed runner.

That is what I thought--add pockets to each end and you would have the wrap!

you can make a pattern of your own. Find a dress/shirt/collar pattern that curves around the back of your neck. Then cut straight pieces for the front with enough to fold over for pockets.

If you want it to "wear", a fitted back is the best bet-----------------just just a collar or yoke pattern from a favorite dress or shirt.
