$9.50 but they always have some fabric on the sale table and also a flat fold area(5.50-$7.50). Mostly use those for backings. They also get some fabric packs on the 30% off table. They get a bargain and pass it on to the customer.

$20+ per metre and getting dearer. Also have just heard that the local cotton producing area has just lost its crop for a second time to floods so I guess that will have a big impact on prices.

$9.50 a yard and $10.00 for batiks. I buy as much as possible on sale and wholesale.

Ours is about $8.00 to $11.00 a yard here too. One lady is adding on to her store, way more batiks, all are 9.00 to 11.00.

This is why I buy online from America. Sadly, I couldn't afford to quilt if I bought local :(
Same here, even with specials of $15 - $18 p/m in Aus it's cheaper online including freight unfortunately.

I work 1 day a week at a lqs. The average price there is around $9. However, yesterday we got some new fabric in, and after working out the cost plus shipping it is $10.70. Wow! Looks like the price increase has hit.

Around 15 euro per metre, which is why I prefer to order from America when I can.

Usually runs about $8 to $10 a yard. But they tend to run quite a few sales which can be a big help.
