We've gotten a little bit into pre-cuts for our shop this year, and to be honest the staff is really enjoying the convenience of "Just pull it off the shelf and pack it, these are even folded already, how great is that?!"
And there's none of the "shrinkage" that comes with cutting yardage off the bolt; believe it or not we usually "lose" 3/4 yard on every bolt (we give the extra inch on our cuts).
So I'm trying to figure out whether we should buy pre-cuts from the fabric manufacturers, or come up with our own combinations (we have lots of fabrics already here to choose from) or maybe invest in an accu-cut so that we could make and market our own charm packs. The advantage of the last two is that we could come up with a combo that nobody else on the web is offering.
