I used this site (http://incompetech.com/graphpaper/) when I taught math and it's wonderful!!!!! I always have graph paper rubber cemented to posterboard in my craft room for cutting templates; you could easily and quickly make rulers from that.

Hevemi,
Thanks for the link to the pdf graph papers. The sizes can be adjusted so that you can make the blocks what size you need... NICE! Thanks again!

If you don't know where I can find a printable ruler, then do you know where I can find printable square templates? I need the squares in 1.25, 1.5, and 3.5. I'm a creative and artistic person, but drawing straight lines without a ruler or template is not something I'm good at. LOL.
I have made them from cool whip lids or butter lids. They seem to take the wear better.

And if you print the graph on acetate or other plastic sheet, it can be cut to size and glued to your "Lowes" made rulers.

I will have to bookmark this site in two places, one in sewing and quilting folder and again in my homeschool folder.

How about a tape measure or the rulers that we usually have in a sewing basket, a measuring tape from the garage, L square, etc. When I can't find what I need in the house I make a trip out to the husbands workshop. You would be surprised how many of my "quilting" tools come from the woodworking shop. Ann in TN
