Mama, you know if admin does liquidate, the subjects do come up over and over again in most cases. I always forget to go look my bookmarks up. However, I refer to my My Pages all the time.

I just discovered the other day that if you save a URL of anything in your My Pages, if you leave a space before and after the URL, then you can actually click on that URL and open that site without having to click on Edit Page! I thought that was pretty cool. Glad to help you, always. :-D

Oops -- just counted 'em -- 103!
Wish admin. could clarify this for everyone.

Oh well, guess I'll just start saving things in My Pages instead of bookmarking, darn it.

re:saving to My Pages: I used copy & paste to save an item I'd have normally bookmarked. The text showed up but NO pictures of the tutorial. Sigh, cry, gripe. Only concerned with trying to use My Pages because someone posted that there's a limit of 100 bookmarks.
Question: should I have just done copy & paste on the title of the page instead of highlighting the entire tutorial posting? It's Rhonda's strip pieced card-trick from Apr.01.
Thanks.

Ok, I just looked up your My Pages on your profile and the way you did it.

Let me suggest you take a different approach. When you name a Page; title it something like Tutorials, Recipes, Blogs... a general category.

Then, when you open a Bookmark; you go up to the top of the first page of that subject; and highlight/copy the URL; go over to your Page in your profile; hit Edit Page which will open the page. I then will type something which sparks my memory; put a colon or dash, hit space, and then paste the URL.

In essence, you can put all of your tutorials that you want to save on this same page.

Do you know how to look on someone else's profile? If so, open mine and look on My Pages for examples of how I use those pages. If you don't, I will be glad to help you do that.

:-D :-D :-D

okay, can't seem to find the URL.....(this is getting embarassing!)

Oh, don't be embarrassed. In this computer age it has taken me longer than most, probably, to get used to terms and then, what on earth they mean.

The URL is at the top of any page on the internet. For instance, if you wanted to look up Amazon at the top of the page you would type in www.amazon.com or on my computer I just type in amazon.com. Once you hit enter it opens the site you want to see. On the board each page you are on has its URL. Go up there with your curser and RIGHT click. A box will pop up which lists 'cut', 'copy', 'paste' and 'delete'. Click which ever one you want to use. Hope this will help you. :-D

OH, BLESS YOU! That was exactly the clarification I needed. Now for the big job of transferring the most important (to me) bookmarked items into My Pages so they won't be attritioned by Admin. to comply with the 100 maximum bookmarks.
Thanks a million.
Gloria

Thank you for this information. I had just been using Bookmarks. Now that I know how to use My Pages, I'm moving my bookmarks over. I'm glad I found this out before I had a ton of bookmarks, or lost some. Thank you again. Pat
