I have 2 of them, one with the guide and one without. Only use the guided one though. It's great! Couldn't quilt without it.

look in the instruction book that came with the machine. I just bought a foot for my DD and DDIL and they both have a Janome

My 1/4 inch foot is the bomb!!!!

I had to get and edging foot cause my feed dogs were to wide for the 1/4 inch foot. It looks just like a 1/4 inch foot but you have to move the needle to the right to adjust the seam to 1/4 inch. So if anyone is having a problem with the end of the seam jerking to the left , it is because the feed dogs are too wide for the foot.

RoseMarie,
Thanks for that tip!!!! |
I was advised by the lady in the Janome dealership to buy one, because I was really struggling to be accurate with my seams. It was well worth the money!!!!! :D

I have one and would not piece quilts without it again. I only paid about $9 for mine and it was one of the best investements that I have made. I looooooove it!!!!!!!!!!!!

With my vision problems I had to buy 4 of them to find the "one" that works best for me :D  :D It was well worth the investment to be able to achieve that perfect 1/4" and the foot fits all 3 of my machines :D :D :D

I have a 1/4 inch foot but I think that I prefer to use the regular foot and just adjust the needle position. For me it's just easier to guide the fabric along the edge of the large foot.
