I've been slowly building up a collection of 1.5 inch squares. I intend to make a postage stamp quilt when I get enough.

Anyway, why this is relevant: I am making a quilt out of 1.5" squares. Only 1.5" squares. Rather than using scraps as the leaders, I have a pile of squares and I sew 2 together, then sew my regular pieces, and end by sewing 2 together. I've gone through probably about 100 and that was without actively sewing them, ya know? So now I just need to iron them all, and then they go back through the rotation and get sewn again. So this way, I'll have a beautiful quilt of tiny squares and it was no big deal to do!

This is exactly what I'm doing! Right now I have about a square yard worth of these little squares sewn together. Another few months and maybe a lap-size quilt!

That would be my suggestion too. It would be so pretty and colorful.

Congrats! I'm still at the join 1 to 1 stage!
