I agree. I've made two backs of quilts using the 10 minute block pattern and it seems that you don't notice the seam lines when you are sewing, but once you press the block, the seam lines really show. I never thought of cutting it away.

I trim mine after stitching the window down.

All of my ten min. Block quilts that I have shown on QB have cut out backs. If you hit that center join on your LA you can break a needle. That is how I quickly learned to cut it out. Looks so much nicer.
