I was going through my quilting magazines and saw a picture of a 1718 Silk Coverelet and wondered if any of our members from the UK have ever seen this quilt? According to the article
by Dorothy Osle, it has 182 blocks. It is 67"x73". Most of the blocks are 4 1/2" square. I thought it was a wonderful quilt and wondered if there is possibly a website that displays it or if it is in a Museum somewhere in England? Thanks for any information that anyone may have. Eiltcoq. |
I can't help you, but I would really be interested in seeing this quilt if you have a picture of it. :D

Isn't that lovely? I would imagine there is a sheen to it, being made of silk.
