I have to agree. I need DEEP discounts to make it worth shopping. I also find that unless a place offers free shipping, I rarely buy much at all.

20 percent just does'nt do much for my shopping enthusiasm. Maybe with free shipping I might look .. but won't feel compeled, or like I was missing something.

20% works for me if you're talking about LQS fabric. I bought a bunch this weekend in person and online at 25% off. That stuff rarely goes on sale, so any sale is good. For Joann's stuff, which goes on sale all of the time, of course you would need a bigger discount to get excited, so for me, it depends on the store in question.

Our local quilt store never has good sales. 20% would be a good sale for them. They do have clearance fabric for 40% off though. But, of coarse it's hard to match up.

If it is only 20%, I seldom bother, unless it is a fabric I was already needing. Fabric prices are so high, it takes at least 40 to 50% off for me to really be interested.

If I was really needing a specific piece of fabric and was going to purchase it anyway 20% off would just be a bonus but otherwise, no.

20% off won't even get me out of bed!
|
I'm the same way. 40% would get me more excited about shopping.
