that is reasonable. They charged me $69.00 for down load

The odds are good that if you got 20 thousand designs for $69 they are bootlegged designs being sold illegally. Make sure you buy from a reputable designer. Be careful out there.

I thought they were good, as they were advertised on
quilter's board.

not necessarily. there are boatloads of licence/copyright free embroidery patterns available. most were produced by converting freely and legally available clip art to embroidery machine formats. the vendor of these patterns has likely taken the time to convert a substantial collection to sell legally to those of us who don't want to spend months searching the net for them.

the ads you see at the top and bottom of board pages have not arranged or paid a fee directly to Admin. rather, they are randomly displayed by Google.

I agree...you have to be careful. Over the last 7 years that I've been doing machine embroidery, I have very few designs that I've actually bought. There are so many free designs and if I can't find a free design I go to www.emblibrary.com. Their designs are excellent and very inexpensive.

Vp3 is format for the Pfaff

Vp3 can also be used on Husqvarna Vikings

I agree, tons of clip art available BUT anyone that has gone to the trouble of digitizing it into machine format does not sell that many that cheaply. And even free designs are copyrighted and NOT to be sold by anyone other than the digitizer. ( I am also a digitizer as well as a quilter and have been for at least 10 years)

I agree, emblibrary's designs are very good and inexpensive. I have a Bernina V5 program where I can make my own designs but is to time consuming at this time of year but I use this program a lot to convert other designs in the ART format which I need for my Artista embroidery machine.
