I learned this method from one of the Dummie books...."Quilting for Dummies", I just love the Dummie books. They call it the tube method. It works great and I use it all the time.

Boy, that sure is a time saver. I'd have to calculate which method will yield the most binding. I rarely used biased binding. Although I do use a 2 1/2" strip and double it for my binding, I don't have the waste like I would from using bias strips. I wonder if that could be done with straight of grain cuts. One seam, many cuts....that would be great!
