Well this is what I've come up with so far. Dont know if its finished or not maybe 1 more border?

BETTY62 05-07-2011 08:48 PM

I love your quilt. The colors are awesome.

nana katie 05-07-2011 08:51 PM

Looks great.

Airwick156 05-07-2011 08:55 PM

I think I would put a small yellow border on it. But thats my opinion. LOL

bakermom 05-07-2011 09:00 PM

Very nice!

quiltlady 05-07-2011 09:11 PM

Love your quilt - I have a couple of those fabrics. Looks great together. Are those diamonds or half square triangles set on point?

I think I'd just bind it in yellow.

dglvr 05-07-2011 09:43 PM

Thats beautifal. I think the yellow would look great too.

Bonbonary 05-07-2011 09:47 PM

I looked back at your first post & you have made this fabric work. This is really pretty. The fabrics look great together. My vote would be for a yellow binding or small yellow border.

pnptrapp 05-07-2011 09:53 PM

I think it turned out really good. I like the borders the way they are, and would just bind it in a bright yellow to tie it all together! What are you thinking for backing fabric? It'll be great to see the finished quilt!

Becca Bear 05-07-2011 10:12 PM

Very pretty!

trif 05-07-2011 10:32 PM

Fabulous!

suecq 05-07-2011 10:59 PM

I would bind in yellow too, those colours are lovely together.

Moonglow 05-07-2011 11:06 PM

Looks great.

Sewfine 05-08-2011 01:10 AM

It looks good to me. No you did not ruin a yard of fabric.

kimscruzer 05-08-2011 03:45 AM

Looks Great!I really like this. What pattern did you use?

Homespun 05-08-2011 03:56 AM

That's pretty. I would bind it in yellow.

spartan quilter 05-08-2011 03:58 AM

Very pretty quilt. I am going against the stream of yellow border, and suggesting that you do a dark border, blue or black, what ever your dark print is, and that would pop out the lighter colors.

sidmona 05-08-2011 04:01 AM

Yellow binding - the quilt is beautiful!

quilt3311 05-08-2011 04:07 AM

I think I would just quilt and then bind in the dark fabric and call it done. Its beautiful the way it is.

theresa.redington 05-08-2011 04:09 AM

I would say layer, quilt, and bind. It looks great from where I am. Love the colors. :o)

Aurora 05-08-2011 04:23 AM

I would layer, quilt, and bind it with the black fabric -- then I would call it "finished".

It's turning out great! Sometimes we just need to change our focus and let things flow. Seems I am always starting with what I think is a good idea, only to find I don't like it and change things around; usually for the better. Just a touch of yellow in a border would look great!

sueisallaboutquilts 05-08-2011 04:26 AM

Beautiful!! Sure doesn't look like anything was ruined at all! :D:D

teacherbailey 05-08-2011 04:37 AM

I never bind in a contrasting color since it calls attention to my bad binding skills....so I was thinking maybe bind in one of the soft blue prints.

Buckeye Rose 05-08-2011 04:47 AM

I love what you did with your triangles.....it looks like it was planned that way from the beginning. As for another border, it depends on how big you want it to be. It looks good the way it is, has a finished look with the wider border. But if you need bigger, add another....but it will need to be at least as wide as the outer border there now. But let me tell you again, what you have done is great, so creative!

Stitchnripper 05-08-2011 04:49 AM

It looks great. I too would bind it in yellow.

katkat1946 05-08-2011 04:55 AM

Looks great the way it is to me:) Any number of choices for the binding would work, I think. I started a stack 'n' whack several years ago using your butterfly fabric. Love every single block! Must get back to it for finishing one of these days!

hairquilt 05-08-2011 04:57 AM

Love the butterflies-I made a quilt for my supervisor that everyone called the butterfly lady cause she wore butterfly pins on her shoulder every day.I quilted butterflies of different sizes all over the quilt. She loved it. Yours is great=just needs a binding.

ktmo815 05-08-2011 05:00 AM

I like it

I might just bind it in the yellow.

SueDor 05-08-2011 05:06 AM

Very pretty! As for the border question, it depends on what size are you lookinf for? If you want it larger then I would add a border.

canuckninepatch 05-08-2011 05:13 AM

Looks gorgeous. I wouldn't do another border, but how about a sliver of yellow with the binding ie. using the faux piping machine binding method. http://tlcstitches.blogspot.com/2010...-tutorial.html

scrapykate 05-08-2011 05:15 AM

looks great to me, yellow binding would be nice.

lillybeck 05-08-2011 05:17 AM

I think all you need to do is add your binding because it is great the way it is.

joyce888 05-08-2011 05:20 AM

I think if you want to add another border - maybe the blue IMHO. Yellow is a very powerful color and might take away from the beautiful blue and green prints.

Confederate Rose 05-08-2011 05:21 AM

Looks Great to me! I love the blues and yellows!

Doesn't look like it needs anything else to me - it's beautiful!
