I made the broken dishes block as well as heart and gizzard, I just love these more traditional blocks with this type of fabric. If you need inspiration just check out Eleanor Burns videos on her media theater (I think that is what it is called) on her website. I am almost positive that it was the 2014 block of the month.

I've made this using some of my '30's prints. I used a solid color from that era. It's quick and simple, and can be made as large as you like. If you need other ideas check out google "feedsack quilts". This free download came from Darlene Zimmerman's site. http://www.feedsacklady.com/pdfs/FreshTradition.pdf

i have a book w/ log cabin variations and some 30s repo fabrics. Plan on using it for that.

Try looking under civil war quilts. A lot of the blocks are easy and there are tons of them so you can make a sampler.

I'm really partial to the Irish Chain pattern, but here are a couple that I made using the 30's repro.

Hey, D.Rickman, great minds do think alike!!! Love your 30's!!!

Don't forget the sunbonnet sues and the little applique quilts for children. I love making aprons from the 30's fabric too. Nothing cuter.

Bobbielinks, I love the second quilt! I think the beautiful quilting on the white really ties it all together! <script type="text/javascript" src="safari-extension://com.ebay.safari.myebaymanager-QYHMMGCMJR/7de6c67b/background/helpers/prefilterHelper.js"></script>
