Wish you worked in MY WM ......

Gosh, you are everybody's dream clerk. Good for you for giving her the freedom to do her choosing which can be a daunting job. How wonderful of you to have such patience. You deserve a raise & you may let your boss know I said so. LOL

At work today it was time for my break, but I saw a 'regular/frequent' customer come into the dept. So I decided I would wait for her to pick her fabrics before I took my break. 30 mins later she is still selecting fabrics and there are just a few bolts in her buggy. 45 mins later I decide I needed to take my break, put out our sign that says, 'see photo lab', and went to take a 15 min break.
I come back to find her still picking out fabric. She has now been in the dept for over an hour. But her buggy is FULL!

She comes up to the cutting table and we start talking. She has selected fabric for 4 small quilts she has patterns for.

After cutting anywhere from 1/4 yard to 6 1/4 yards from the 42 bolts she had selected..... I had the honor of figuring out where all the bolts went! We are in the middle of receiving a TON of new fabrics so not all have a real home yet. I have put most of the new ones up so sort of knew where they belonged.

I was just glad I was the one there to cut it all for her and to be able to put it away! Anyone else would have had a cow and complained about it.

Just another wonderful part of my job in the fabric dept of WM.

I don't know at which Walmart you work, but I wonder if it's mine in Abilene, TX. Most times I am there it's one or two ladies cutting who are just the nicest, friendliest and helpful people. And just so you know, it is very appreciated that you are so patient, friendly and helpful. Those attributes are sometimes hard to find in this busy world and mean a lot. Many thanks.

Phyllis you are a gem in the crown!
Wow! I couldn't get that from any LQS where I shop.

You truly understand both the meaning and the spirit of customer service, and you have gone 100% beyond it.

May your good deeds all come back to you in the way which would most benefit you.

Our Walmart does not have any fabric and when it did it sure didn't have 42 bolts.
Glad to hear you were able to help her out.

Wow 42 bolts. My Wal-Mart left town and the closest one to us is over 15 miles away and most definitely does not have fabric.

penski 03-30-2012 12:56 PM

wow that is a lot of bolts our walmart doesnt even have that many bolts to chose from!! i always put the bolts back after i get my yardage cut because i got them out and i know where they belong, and also there might be someone else that is looking for it and cant find it because it is behind the counter

If I put 42 bolts of fabric in my buggy at my local WM the whole building would collapse!! I'm not sure there's 42 bolts there.
