I made a "mosiac quilt" with 5" squares. It turned out really well, but I don't have a picture of the whole quilt because I gave it to my son & daughter-in-law. I do have one square left. If I can post the picture, I will.

Wow...this board certainly has many great ideas for using 5 inch squares. You have got me thinking.

You sew your 9 patches and sew them together on allsides (1/4" seam) then cut them apart from cornerto corner, then open them up and press then sew them together. You could do a search, I think she did a tutorial.
