Somethings that are so pretty in December, just don't do it for me the second day of spring.

Murphy 03-22-2011 10:43 AM

Enough already (smile).

redturtle 03-22-2011 10:48 AM

oh wow!!!

of course if there hadnt been any snow all winter long it might be a different story...lol

CarrieAnne 03-22-2011 10:48 AM

Oh, no!!!!!!!!!!

fabricesta 03-22-2011 10:52 AM

Could be worse Sun Valley got 25 inches in 24 hrs and last I heard was still snowing. Skiers and snow bunnies are jumping for joy.

Raggiemom 03-22-2011 10:53 AM

That's very pretty! But I agree--enough's enough.

MrsM 03-22-2011 10:56 AM

At least it should melt fast!

fabricesta 03-22-2011 10:58 AM

How fast is relative, we still have 2 feet of old snow. Can you tell I'm ready for Spring.

pojo 03-22-2011 10:59 AM

You can keep it at your home.
I'm ready for spring.

quiltinggrandmaca 03-22-2011 11:08 AM

I just wish spring would come already. They are forcasting snow for us today as well.

jbud2 03-22-2011 11:13 AM

It is pretty but I am so done with winter!! The skiis and snow shovels have been put away. I did hear on the weather report for our area that we may have some kind of winter precipitation in the morning. But as I look out the window now, I think they goofed on this afternoon's weather prediction so maybe they are wrong for Wednesday! LOL!!

GagaSmith 03-22-2011 11:14 AM

Its on its way here. We are expecting 3-7" tomorrow and Thurs.

Jan in VA 03-22-2011 11:15 AM

Here in VA where today is partially cloudy, 79 degrees, with spring shrubs and flowers in bloom and the wasps swarming in and out of the house (Yuck!), I find that picture at least very pretty.

Sorry for all the snow, I know, by now we are sick and tired of it.

But look what was posted by someone else, may be you can try it and let us know about it.

Make us all jeauless! Let us see your creation, that we have to wait on to do until next winter.

Hope spring is coming your way pretty quick. ;)

WHAT?!?!?!?! And you are way south. How much are we supposed to get up here? I thought we were finally done with it. It is all melted in my yard except for two piles that are in shade all day.

Dingle 03-22-2011 11:44 AM

<<< See where I live. I'm in the southern part of the state. Sunny and temps in the high 60's. Only snow we have is in the mountains. I am from Northern Il. I do miss the snow sometimes. Just lasts a little too long. :-D

Oh phew, just checked the local weather. It is supposed to skirt south of us. Sorry downstate!!

Cherylsea 03-22-2011 11:50 AM

I know it seems horrible to you but, here in Florida we are about to hit high Summer and it will stay hot, humid, dry and awful for about the next 9 months. Guess it is all relative. I would so love to move!!

Exactly one of the many reasons why I moved away from Florida as soon as I was of legal age to do so! I was no great fan of the sunshine state. Yes I will bi**h and moan about winter in the northeast but in the long run I do find it preferable to the unbearable heat and humidity of Florida (as well as the high air conditioning costs and all those bugs!) At least here I know the snow and cold will only be around for 4 months at most. The hot lasts in Florida much longer.

BeeNana 03-22-2011 12:15 PM

Thanks.......not in
my back yard!
BTW a beautiful picture.

Twisted Quilter 03-22-2011 12:27 PM

Wow, 5 inches, 3-7 inches! So far I've only heard ice, sleet, and rain. Got my fingers crossed.

sewcrafty 03-22-2011 12:36 PM

Hear that one loud and clear! We just got 4" yesterday and I was actually starting to see grass.

hcarpanini 03-22-2011 12:54 PM

I hear you!

barefoot quilter 03-22-2011 01:11 PM

we here in fresno got hail on monday and cold wind i hate that

Floralfab 03-22-2011 01:17 PM

I agree. Looks like you have a good amount on the ground. We finally got rid of ours and now more is due on Thursday. Hope it all melts SOON!!!

Kappy 03-22-2011 01:22 PM

Oh you poor thing. It's suppose to be spring. If it makes you feel any better..we are in a winter storm advisory...they are saying 8-14 inches.....I'm saying "no thank you"..we have had wind, rain, sleet,...temp is dropping so I suppose the snow will be next.

PaperPrincess 03-22-2011 02:54 PM

We are supposed to get 6-9" tonight. About 2" already. Sigh.

fabricesta 03-22-2011 02:55 PM

Doesn't sound like this Winter wants to give way to Spring anywhere.

FancyFoot 03-22-2011 02:58 PM

BRRRRR...I get chills just looking at it

running1 03-23-2011 05:16 AM

Beautiful... here we're in the worst drought in decades! The entire western half of the state is having wildfires... two ends of the spectrum!!

Dina 03-23-2011 05:20 AM

It was 87 degrees here in north Texas yesterday. Spring came just in time. I was getting very grumpy. I moved south to get away from the snow, and we still had school closed five days this winer because of snow and ice. Yeah, no snow plows or anything here.

Spring can't be too far off, even in Idaho. It is closer than it has been in a long time. :)

lillybeck 03-23-2011 05:41 AM

Oh but it is beautiful;.

3TreeFrog 03-23-2011 05:42 AM

You know that is a beautiful photo, however you are right it is more tolerable in December than the end of March!

SherriB 03-23-2011 05:56 AM

I am so very grateful to live in the southern states!!! It is warm and sunny today. And I have enjoyed opening up the windows and letting the fresh air in. And hearing the sweet birds chirping away.

Homespun 03-23-2011 05:58 AM

Gorgeous pics but I know you are ready for Spring.

p38flygirl 03-23-2011 06:06 AM

The snow is beautiful...but it is 80 degrees here..

chance 03-23-2011 06:48 AM

Gret quilt inspiration. Might call it "Springtime in Idaho". :)

Arleners 03-23-2011 07:02 AM

Ohh - I know what you mean. If the weather in Idaho is anything like here, but August, when the heat is at it's worst, you will look back on this snowfall and wish for it to return.

busygranny 03-23-2011 07:13 AM

Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!! Only consulation is it wont last too long. Hopefully!!!!!!!!!!!!

Akes 03-23-2011 07:21 AM
